Since 2018, David Benedict has been doing just that, delivering high-quality photography for sports teams, professionals, non-profits, and private individuals. Whether it’s game-day intensity, team spirit, professional headshots, or cherished senior portraits, David brings both technical expertise and an artistic eye to every session.
A lifelong creative, David has turned what was once just a hobby into a part-time passion, constantly honing his craft and exploring new post-production techniques. He finds joy in capturing authentic moments—the thrill of a game-winning shot, the confidence in a well-crafted portrait, or the excitement of a milestone event.
Beyond his work behind the camera, David is a proud father of two artistic daughters. His eldest, Callie, is a college student studying animation in Georgia, while Rachel, a teen with dreams of becoming a fashion designer. Both have been frequent subjects of his photography, inspiring his creative journey.
David currently lives in Houston, Texas, with his daughters and his wife of 25+ years, Amy. Though Houston is home, his photography has taken him across the world, capturing diverse stories through his lens. With Amy assisting in art direction and logistics for formal portraits, The Photo Guy ensures a professional, enjoyable experience from start to finish.
